HOUBBQ 2017 Attendance/Ticketing Info

 

Here are some questions and answers you will want to review before heading out for a great day of Houston barbecue this Sunday.

** Weather forecast is WARM and SUNNY. Please wear COOL & LIGHT CLOTHING and COMFORTABLE SHOES. A HAT is recommended. Please use SUNSCREEN. Stay HYDRATED. We will have 4 bars and 3 food trucks selling bottled water. There will be a free water refill station at the check-in tent near the entrance.**

Do I need to bring my ticket(s)?
YES. Please PRINT OUT your ticket(s) and bring them. Tickets on your phone are OK too, it’s just very hard to see in direct sunlight. All tickets will be scanned/checked in.

I’d like to print out my tickets. Where are they?
You should have received an email reminder yesterday. Also, at the time you purchased your tickets, you received an email from “orders@eventbrite.com” with a subject of “Your Tickets for 5th Annual Houston Barbecue Festival.” Try searching for that in your email inbox. The tickets (PDF format) are attached to that email. Open the PDF file and print them on your local printer.

Where do we park?
At NRG Park, you will park in the Green Lot, Gate 13, off Lantern Point Dr. More info here: Festival Parking. NRG Park charges a $12 fee per car for parking for all ticket holders, both VIP and General Admission. **CASH ONLY.** Parking opens at 10am.

What time should we get there?
VIP Admission is at 12pm and General Admission at 1pm on Sunday April 9th. We suggest you get there about 30-60 minutes before your gate time.

Do you take credit cards at the festival?
For drink purchases, the main “Beer Garden” takes both cash and credit cards. However, the smaller satellite drink stations located throughout the venue are cash only. The merchandise booth takes cash and credit cards. The $12 parking fee is cash only. **There will not be an ATM at the venue.**

Event Staff and Security will be enforcing the following:

1. No outside food or beverage.
2. No pets (properly identified service dogs are welcome).
3. No coolers, ice chests, styrofoams, or other insulated bags.
4. Wrist bands or badges to be worn at all times by adults.

Is the venue stroller-friendly/wheelchair-friendly?
Yes. All of it is paved and ramps are available at grade changes.

Can I bring my own beer/wine/drinks?
No. You must purchase all drinks at the festival.
